The accompanying nylon thread is for making chains, you tie the clasps to it and the elastic can be used for bracelets (make an overhand knot to tie off). Forceps are not required for these techniques.

If you prefer to work with metal wire and crimp beads , these materials and pliers can be ordered separately.
